GADTB-nin Mətbuat Mərkəzinə daxil olan məlumata görə, Avstraliya Azərbaycan Assosiasiyasının prezidenti, Güney Azərbaycan Demokratik Türk Birliyinin (GADTB) Beynəlxalq Əlaqələr Departamentinin sədri sayın Mikayil bəy Oyta Avstraliyanın Paytaxtı Melborndan yayılan radioya, eləcə də Avstraliyanın “The Guardian” qəzetəsinə Azərbaycanda keçirilən COP29, eləcə də Güney Azərbaycanda İranın törətdiyi ekoloji fəlakət, o cümlədən Urmiya gölünü qurutması və s. məsələlərdən məlumat vermişdir.

Radiodan həmçinin Azərbaycan Prezidenti cənab İlham Əliyevindən də çıxışı yayınlanmışdı.

Cop 29 has been widely called disappointing but talking to you gave me a different perspective. You spoke of the global village and I think we saw that at Baku. We also saw the thousands of lobbyists demanding the continuation of $7 trillion in subsidies to coal, oil and gas when the delegates could not even contemplate $1 trillion for the loss and damage and money for energy transition demanded by the global south. At Baku we saw how the global village was silenced with representatives contained by many regulations and conditions but they were still there.

Thank you very much for your work and for contributing to the public knowledge on Lake Urmia and the context which makes saving it so difficult and so urgent.
