GADTB: The Southern Azerbaijan Democratic Turkish Union (GADTB) has issued a statement on crimes committed by Russia against Azerbaijani Turks. We present the statement as it is:

On the Recent Crimes of the Russian Federation Against Azerbaijani Turks

We strongly condemn the recent killing of two Azerbaijani Turks and the mass arrests targeting our compatriots in the Russian Federation. These are not isolated acts—they represent an alarming pattern of state-sponsored violence, repression, and ethnic targeting.

Such crimes are a grave violation of international law, human rights, and the principles of the UN Charter. The Azerbaijani Turkic people will not be silenced or erased—we have existed on this land for centuries and will continue to stand firm against oppression.

We call on the government of Azerbaijan, the Organization of Turkic States, and global human rights institutions to urgently respond to this dangerous escalation.

As GADTB, we reaffirm our commitment to defending the rights of Azerbaijani Turks through every political, legal, and diplomatic channel. Justice will prevail. We will not forget. We will not forgive.
